Introduction of 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module

The 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module is adopted QSFP28 package form, with dual LC connector. The maximum transmission distance can reach 10KM by matching with single-mode patch cord OS2. The main application scenarios are 100G Ethernet and metro optical transmission network.

The operating wavelengths of 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module are 1295, 1300, 1304 and 1309nm, and the operating temperature range is 0 °C ~ 70 °C, with built-in digital diagnosis function (DDM).

Working principle of 100G QSFP28 LR4 optical module

The 4-channel 25Gbps electrical signal is converted into 4-channel LAN WDM optical signal, and then MUX or WDM is used to multiplex it into a single channel to realize 100G optical signal transmission. At the receiving end, the module uses demux to demultiplex 100G optical input into 4-channel LAN WDM optical signal, then converts it into 4-channel electrical signal and then outputs the channel.
