ETU takes you to know what is an integrated optical fiber wiring system
In this article, ETU-LINK will take everyone into the optical fiber cabling system, which is simply the transmission network in buildings and complexes. The integrated wiring system is a digital infrastructure built by intelligent offices, which can support integrated applications such as voice, data, graphics, and multimedia. The integrated optical fiber wiring system is divided into the following subsystems:
1. Work area subsystem
The work area subsystem is composed of connecting cables and adapters, and the commonly used cables are twisted-pair cables.
2. Wiring subsystem
The subsystem starts with an information socket in the work area, and is composed of cables arranged horizontally to the inner distribution frame of the management area. The commonly used transmission medium in the system is 4 pairs of UTP (unshielded twisted pair), which can support most modern communication equipment, and choose the cable flexibly according to the rate: generally use category 4 or It is a category 5 twisted pair; when the rate is 10-100Mbit/s, category 5 or category 6 twisted pair is generally used; when the rate is higher than 100Mbit/s, optical fiber or category 6 twisted pair is used.
3. Management subsystem
The system is composed of distribution frames, which can be divided into floor distribution frame (box) IDF and main distribution frame (box) MDF according to different connection hardware. IDF can be installed in the trunk wiring room of each floor, and MDF is generally installed In the equipment room.
4. Vertical trunk line subsystem
The purpose is to realize the connection between computer equipment, program-controlled exchange (PBX), control center and various management subsystems, and is the route of building trunk cables. The subsystem is usually between two units, especially in the central point of the public system equipment to provide multiple line facilities. The system consists of all the vertical trunk multi-pair cables and related supporting hardware in the building to provide the trunk routing between the main distribution frame of the equipment room and the floor distribution frame of the trunk wiring room. Commonly used media are large-pair twisted-pair cables and optical cables.
5. Equipment room subsystem
This subsystem is mainly composed of cables, connectors and related supporting hardware in the equipment room. Its function is to interconnect computers, PBXs, cameras, monitors and other weak current equipment and connect them to the main distribution frame.
6. Building group subsystem
This subsystem extends the cables of one building to the communication equipment and devices in other buildings of the building group. It is a part of the structured wiring system and supports the provision of the hardware required for communication between the building groups. It is composed of cables, optical cables and related hardware such as over-current and over-voltage electrical protection equipment at the entrance to the building. The common medium is optical cable.
The location design of the integrated wiring system equipment room is very important, because the information in the management room of each floor can only be connected and exchanged with the outside world through the equipment room, that is, the location of the exit and entrance of the whole building information. When designing equipment rooms, a certain amount of cables should generally be reserved for redundant channels, which is very important for the scalability and reliability of the integrated wiring system.
