High-speed cable (Direct Attach Cable, referred to as DAC) is a kind of cable assembly purchased in a fixed length with fixed connectors at both ends, used for interconnection between short-distance devices. The connectors used for the high-speed cable are the same as optical modules. However, compared with optical modules, the connector modules of high-speed cables do not have expensive optical lasers and other electronic components, thus greatly saving costs and power consumption in short-distance applications. Generally, if the transmission distance is less than 7M, it is recommended to use high-speed cables, which are more cost-effective. Otherwise, AOC active optical cables or optical modules are more preferred.
Advantages of high-speed cables
High performance: The product’s maximum rate up to 200Gbps.
Good heat dissipation: The internal material of the cable is copper core. The natural heat dissipation effect of copper cable is good, energy saving and environmental protection.
Low crosstalk: Magnetic field interference has little impact on high-speed data transmission by DAC.
Low power consumption: Divided into active and passive. Passive cables do not require power and consume almost 0 power.
Low cost: Copper cables are cheaper than fiber optics, so using high-speed cables will reduce cabling costs.

56G DAC supports a transmission rate of 56Gbps. The cable diameter is 30-24AWG, and uses a QSFP+ packaged connector, with the longest distance of up to 5M.
100G DAC supports a transmission rate of 100Gbps. The cable diameter is 30-26AWG, and uses a QSFP28 packaged connector, with the longest distance of up to 5M.
100G TO 2*50G DAC supports a transmission rate of 100Gbps. The cable diameter is 30-26AWG, and uses QSFP28 packaged connectors at both ends , with the longest distance of up to 5M.
100G TO 4*25G DAC supports a transmission rate of 100Gbps. The cable diameter is 30-26AWG, and uses a QSFP28 TO SFP28 packaged , with the longest distance of up to 5M.
200G DAC supports a transmission rate of 200Gbps. The cable diameter is 30-26AWG, and uses a QSFP56 packaged, with the longest distance of up to 5M.
