Before formally introducing the 56G QSFP+ AOC active optical cable, we first understand the QSFP+ AOC active optical cable. QSFP+ AOC active optical cable is composed of optical fiber and two QSFP+ connectors (one at each end). The optical fiber is multi-mode optical fiber, which requires the use of external power supply to convert electrical signals and optical signals. It is mainly divided into 40G QSFP+ AOC active optical cable, 40G QSFP+ to 4X10G SFP+ AOC active optical cable and 56G QSFP+ AOC active optical cable.
56G QSFP+ AOC active optical cable is a high-efficiency integrated optical cable assembly product (four channels full-duplex) designed for short-distance data communication and interconnection applications. Each channel can operate at a rate of up to 14.025Gb/s. transfers data, providing an aggregate rate of 56Gb/s. The maximum link length is 100 meters on OM3 multi-mode fiber and 150 meters on OM4 multi-mode fiber. Built-in 850nm VCSEL laser, PIN array, integrated driver and receiver chip, supports standards including InfiniBand FDR, 56G Ethernet, 16G Fiber Channel, QSFP MSA and IEEE P802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4, and is compatible with various brands of servers, switch transmission equipment, etc.

Transmission principle:
Both ends of the cable (end A and end B) are QSFP optical module devices respectively, and end B and end A transmit symmetrically. At the A end, the data input Din is an electrical signal. The electrical signal is converted into an optical signal of a specific wavelength through the electro-optical conversion device (E-O Converter). The optical signal is modulated and coupled and then input into the optical cable. The optical signal reaches the B end through the optical cable. Finally, the photoelectric detection device (O-E Converter) detects the optical signal and amplifies it, and Dout outputs the corresponding electrical signal.
