Active cable ACC—Enhanced version of DAC high-speed cable
As we all know, DAC active cable is mainly used for interconnection between cabinets. Due to the limitation of passive copper cable DAC transmission distance due to material, high frequency loss of connector and other factors, the maximum length of passive copper cable DAC with transmission rate of 10G/25G can only reach 7m, and the maximum length of passive copper cable DAC with transmission rate of 40G/100G can only reach 5m. If the distance between the devices exceeds the above distance, only the high cost AOC active optical cable and optical module can be used.
In order to solve the interconnection cost problem of extending short distance equipment, ACC active copper cable came into being. Next, ETU-LINK will introduce ACC active copper cable and its series types.
ACC active copper cable uses chip to compensate the S21 loss of passive copper DAC, so the transmission distance is extended to several meters. Compared with AOC and optical modules, ACC active copper cable has the advantages of low cost, low power consumption, small temperature change and transparent protocol, which can meet the energy saving and cost control requirements of large data centers.
ETU-LINK's ACC active copper cables support transmission rates and package types of 10G SFP+, 25G SFP28, 40G QSFP+, 50G QSFP+, 100G QSFP28 and 200G QSFP-DD. the longest transmission distance of 10G/25G ACC active copper cable can reach 15m, and the longest transmission distance of 40G/50G/100/200G ACC active copper cable can reach 7m.
Whether it is applied to Infiniband, Ethernet, HPC, cloud computing, Web 2.0, server to shelf, server to storage, or switch to switch, ETU-LINK's interconnection products will provide customers with the best solution with its superior performance, flexibility and elasticity.
