40G low-cost equipment interconnection solution -QSFP+ DAC high-speed cable
High-speed cables are fixed components that support high-speed data transmission. With cost advantages and energy-saving advantages, high-speed cables are currently widely used in data centers for short-distance applications. It can be connected to switches, servers, routers, network interface cards (NIC), host bus adapters (HBA) that provide high density and high data throughput.
The common types of 40G QSFP+ DAC high-speed cables can be divided into 40G QSFP+ to QSFP+ DAC, 40G QSFP+ to 4xSFP+ DAC.
ETU-LINK’s 40G QSFP+ DAC high-speed cable complies with QSFP MSA protocol, IEEE802.3ba protocol and infiniband QDR specification, and complies with ROHS certification. It has a total bandwidth of 40Gb/s, an operating voltage of 3.3V, power consumption <1.5W, an EMI-resistant metal shell, and a cable diameter range of 30 AWG-24 AWG.
40G QSFP+ high-speed cable (DAC) uses copper cable as the transmission medium, and there are two types of passive and active. The 40G QSFP+ passive high-speed cable does not need power supply, the transmission distance is generally less than 5M, the power consumption is low, but the transmission distance is also shorter; the transmission distance of the 40G QSFP+ active high-speed cable is longer.
To meet the growing demand for high-speed data, many data centers are migrating from 10G to 40G or even 100G. High-speed cable DAC has become the most popular solution in 40G network cabling with its low cost advantage.
